Xiaomi is reportedly working on the Xiaomi 15 series of flagship phones for China. The Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro, both equipped with the forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, are expected to debut in October of this year.  Last week, tipster Digital Chat Station leaked the battery size of the Xiaomi 15 Pro. In a new leak, the tipster has revealed the thickness and weight of the device.

Xiaomi 15 Pro thickness, weight (rumored)

The Xiaomi 14 Pro, which debuted in October 2023 in China, packed a 4,880mAh battery with 120W rapid charging and 50W wireless charging support. Speculation suggests that the 15 Pro could significantly improve its battery performance with a high-density 6,000mAh silicon-carbon negative electrode battery. Additionally, reports suggest that it will support 90W wired charging and likely 50W wireless charging.

According to a new leak, the Xiaomi 15 Pro will have a thickness of 8.5mm and weigh around 220 grams. In comparison, the Xiaomi 14 Pro also measures 8.5mm in thickness but weighs 223 grams. This suggests that the Xiaomi 15 Pro will feature a much larger battery while maintaining the same thickness.

As per other reports, the Xiaomi 15 Pro will have a 6.74-inch OLED screen with micro-curvature on all four sides. It is expected to offer a 2K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. The device will run on HyperOS-based Android 15.

The 15 Pro’s rear camera setup may include a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50K primary camera with an f/1.4-f/2.5 variable aperture, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX8-series periscope telephoto camera with up to 5x optical zoom. Additionally, the device is expected to offer IP69-rated dust and water resistance.
